CES now proves this with the presentation of its new and market-ready DU locking system for upmarket building construction. CES-DU is the result of a consistent innovation strategy.

DU stands for "Double Under-cut" and thus also points to the most important patented innovation against unauthorised copying of keys: the double undercut in the lateral profiles.
The resulting three-dimensional groove cannot be reproduced with current copying techniques, which only have a two-dimensional effect.

The patent term for the CES DU locking system is valid until 2030.

Optionally, the single-sided (half-cylinder and padlock) or double-sided (double cylinder and knob cylinder) TL swing lever can also be ordered. This option can also be combined with keyed alike locking cylinders. As soon as a locking cylinder is equipped with this option, the option is integrated in all keyed alike locks. However, the additional security is only included in locking cylinders with the TL option. Please read the specifications below.

Depending on the equipment, the CES DU locking cylinder fulfils the highest requirements according to DIN 18252, DIN EN 1303 and the VdS guidelines. Other special versions, such as seawater-proof and wear-resistant cylinders and suitability for fire doors, can be ordered as options.

The complete security package of the new locking system offers maximum protection against burglary and, with the double undercut function, comprehensive protection against unauthorised key duplication.
